A musical transliteration of The Gettysburg Address, wherein each letter is assigned to a different piano key. Enjoy!

The Night before Christmas
A dramatic reading I did this evening of the classic ballad, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. My reading isn't quite perfect, but I like it anyways:

Have to Keep Moving
This is one of my first songs I wrote a melody note by note, rather then improvising and re-improvising until I liked what came out. It creates a dramatic tension that I kind of pictured you might hear in a game as the heroes are fighting to sort out what to do in an not-quite-hopeless situation.

Flawed
One of the most interesting characteristics of my new instrument; a MIDI piano mapped to an ordinary keyboard, is that you can take written information and create a musical composition. Obviously there is a lot of variability in how it sounds, and sometimes I'm not always satisfied how it turns out. This one, though, is based on a poem I wrote, titled "Flawed" and I think it turned out quite musical. I need to re-record it at some point to start with a pause, since I don't like the way it jumps in when you play it, but for now it works for sharing it with you folks. Underneath, for the curious, I'll include the "written music"

Discord
This melody is sort of a counter-point stylistically to Glint of a dream, it's about the same length though as the name implies, it has a Discordant tone to it.

Glint of a Dream
This is a short, beautiful melody I wrote that sort of makes me think of when you're about to fall asleep at the end of, or in anticipation of a good day yet to come. Enjoy!

Cherry Blossom Race
Another pentatonic melody I wrote, this one is very fast paced and exciting. I loved playing with the way the quick notes would split into unique tones, and then blend into full, rich sound. Enjoy!

Kabuki Prologue
This pentatonic melody I composed is how I imagine the musical opening of a Kabuki theater. Not that I've ever been to one, but hey, inspiration and imagination is what it is. Enjoy!
